Experience: Unit 10 Colorado has long been one of the top 3 units in the state and continues to be one of the best in the entire west. See up to 20 bulls a day on this public land hunt and these tags come with several thousand additional acres of private land with one of the pieces adjoining the Dinosaur National Monument where hundreds of elk hang out.
Unit 10: This hunt is moderate to low difficulty in physical requirements but most of the unit is very easy to cover lots of ground when you are scouting or hunting. If you want a very high-quality hunt with almost 100% kill success in the rut with a rifle this hunt is better than almost any hunt in the west.
Terrain: Sage and sage grassland dominate, with typical vegetation groups as the elevation increases.
