This tag comes with access to 320 remote acres of unit 70 just NW of Telluride Colorado. This tag can be used to hunt on any public land in unit 70 but includes some great access to remote country. Unit 70 consistently has a success rate of over 61% and allows a hunter to purchase an over-the-counter bull elk license for the coinciding second season.
Elk trespass. Hunters that want to combine a good deer tag and pick up an elk license can expect to harvest a buck and bull on the same hunt. This is becoming more difficult as the number of hunters purchasing OTC licenses increases annually.
The value of the OTC tag here is our ranch has end-of-the-road access to some great elk country. Far away from any public roads. Remoteness plus habitat EQUALS hunter success.
The elk trespass fee is not included in the deer voucher price and must be purchased separately for $3,750 per hunter.

Elevations can be from around 5000 feet to over 13,000 feet and most of the public is BLM land with varying types of cover from P&J country to aspen to sagebrush and everything in between. Basically, terrain types and cover types to meet every hunter’s style and keep the deer happy no matter the weather.
Colorado Unit 70 2nd Lodging: This is a modern yurt with electricity, a wood-burning stove, and running water (cold weather may affect the water)
Hunters can camp on the public or stay in the yurt on location for an additional fee if purchasing the deer voucher only.
