North Park Inn & Suites
This classic roadside hotel on a light commercial strip on the edge of town is 2.2 miles from Walden Reservoir and 17 miles from Lake John. The basic rooms with pine log frame beds have private bathrooms and pillow-top mattresses, TVs, free WiFi, microwaves, minifridges and coffee makers. Some rooms have full kitchens and 32-inch flat-screen TVs. The 2-bedroom cabins add a full living room to the mix. The inn has an indoor hot tub and guest laundry facilities. There is also free large vehicle parking and a heated garage where guests are welcome to work on their snowmobiles.
Antlers Inn
This inn in a store-front building on the town’s Main Street is 2.5 miles from Walden Reservoir and 10.8 miles from the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge. The rooms feature hand-hewn beams, pillow-top mattresses and 400-thread count linens, granite countertops in the en suite bathrooms, as well as TVs. A suite with a walk-in double shower is available. There is an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as a living room with a fireplace. Plus, there are meeting rooms, a banquet room and catering services (surcharge).
Big Creek Lake Campground
This facility has a campground and day use area. There are 24 reservable campsites and 30 first-come, first-served campsites, all of which are near Big Creek Lake. Two boat ramps are provided for the convenience of boaters and anglers. A campground host is on-site for visitor assistance.
Ranger Lakes Campgrounds
Ranger Lakes campground in State Forest State Park has 32 campsites with electric hookups and is a short walk to Ranger Lakes fishing areas. There are also six rustic cabins available for rent (year round). Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, a dump station and amphitheater. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. You can stay up to 14 days during a 45 day period (and they can be consecutive).
