In the earlier seasons, begin your scouting above the timberline and near water sources, as this is where deer congregate in the warmer temperatures. As winter progresses, the herds will begin moving into the lower altitudes. Archery and muzzleloader tags drawn for this unit are also valid in Units 11, 13, 22, 131 and 231. An add-on bear tag is available for purchase when holding an archery or muzzleloader mule deer tag. Keep in mind that the late season hunting grounds will be shared with elk hunters.
