Colorado Unit 1 Description

Unit 1 Moffat County bounded on the North, East and the South by the Green River; on the West by Utah.

GMU 1 has poor access into the rough, rocky terrain and into the wilderness area. You must draw a license to hunt the Green River units, and it can take many years of preference points. Hence, the hunting pressure is typically light. Deer in GMU 1 tend to stay at the south & north ends of Brown’s Park Refuge. Hunting Elk in Unit 1, try Hoy Draw & Chokecherry Draw.
